Life after high school i moved around a lot and travelled as often as i could. i haven't been back to maine in about eleven years, but i miss the state and many of the people i went to high school with. for a while, i worked as a travelling nurse which was how i first ended up in alaska. i fell in love with the state immediately and have since settled down here and bought a house in a rural area about an hour's drive northeast of anchorage. i met my husband while travelling in turkey many years ago. we have been married for almost twenty years. we once lived in istanbul but now maintain a condo there where our 4 sons live and attend a private prep school. i spend my time mostly between alaska and istanbul these days and travel overseas to other countries whenever possible. my husband and i own a small ethnic restaurant in anchorage which he manages. i work as a critical care nurse at the alaska medical center in anchorage. after 9/11 (i was living right across the hudson river fr...Expand for more
