Carmen's Story
2009..DO you remember when the year 2000 seemed so faraway? The years seem to be flying by for me and what a journey life has been.
Twenty years of memories since high school..twenty years of hard work, lots of sweat and energy..tears of happiness and tears of sadness..goals met and goals set..Challenges of life faced daily.
I thankfully have a loving and supportive husband..together we have a great family of 6 children add on a son in law, daughter in law and one grandson..our next grandbaby due in July of this year..with just two girls remaining home it is very quiet and we are really enjoying our time with them. Not that we didn't enjoy all the kids..its just different going from a housefull to dwindling numbers..
We enjoy our family and look forward to any family events..Christmas 2008 was awesome..the house was overflowing with joy and smells of lots of good food..our kids home with their spouses..grandbaby..inlaws..what a shock to the ears when all quieted down and everyone returned home..we look forward to the next holiday..
Rod and I along with our business partners just opened our second business in Goldendale..in todays economy everything is a risk..but we have had success in the first business and look forward to our Lube shop as another success. I prefer working for myself and have thankfully been gone from my c...Expand for more
areer in law enforcement for nearly two years..
Rod and I work together side by side daily..fortunately we have a very stable relationship and I can't imagine not being by his side..we have never had a fight in our marriage and still feel like teenagers in love!! I am very fortunate to have him in my life..growing old with him will be wonderful..we like the same things in life and are just happy being us.
Our kids play an important role in our life and we make sure to include them as often as we can. Its nice to have the ability to stay at home now when one is sick..or not to miss a school event because I have to work..I sure missed a lot of the activities of the older kids because of that.
We lead a pretty boring life..we are not socialites by any standards and prefer to stay home than go to town..I hate shopping and am so thankful for the internet..We do like to take the Bronco out mudding..or playing in the sand dunes..Hannah is wanting to get into hunting big game..so this should be her first year out tramping through the woods with her Dad..
I do have a myspace and welcome those who see this to stop in and say hi..I am always interested in finding out what everyone is doing these days..how far away people actually moved..I for one swore I would not live around here..and look..only an hour away from Lyle..go figure.
