Carmen's Story
Remember me, I was the shy girl that did not speak enough English. I went on to attend Palomar College for 2 years and took some additional classes at UCSD, I major in Accounting, only because number are more easy to precess when your English is not your primary language.
I practiced accounting for local and San Diego businesses, worked for the accounting firm of Ken Higgins CPA for about 5 yeas, have been working for the Law Offices of Charles S. LiMandri in Rancho Santa FE, for the last 16 years, as an office administrator.
I was a member of the American Society of Women Accountants, San Diego Legal Administrators Associatton.
I was a treasurer of the St. Mary's PTA...Expand for more
Catholic School, the San Pasqual High School Music Department.
I was inducted into the Escondido Unified School District Hall of Fame in 1995.
I am currently semi-retired and a treasurer for the St Mary's Altar and Rosary Society.
I have traveled trough out Canada, Mexico, Tahiti and most of the United States.
I am married to Rudolph Serrano ( he graduated from Escondido High School class of 1960) had only one child,
my daughter is currently teaching in an elementary school in Orange County.
I have fond memories of my high school years, my only regreat is that I was not more active in the school programs.
It is hard to believe that is almost 50 years since graduation.
