Carmen's Story

Ok, for those of you who are curious, about the time you guys were accepting your high school diploma's,I recieved my own bundle, yes nicely wrapped and with a pink bow. I had just graduated from a seventeen year old to motherhood. Our daughter is now 25 and will be compleating her final year in university specializing in forensics. So for those of you who have teenagers and your thinking "Do they EVER think" The answer is yes...some take a little longer, this is true... but the most incredible moment in parenting is when you see the little light go on. For those of you with pre-teens, hold on tight, because your in for quite a ride. Learn to pick your fights and tell them everyday that you love them, even when you know there flippin you the bird around the corner. Actually especially then because it freaks them out and makes them think you really do have eyes in the back of your head! I am celabrating my 19th wedding anniv...Expand for more
ersary this October, I consider myself to be very blessed that I fell in love with my best friend and have had him at my side through all of lifes up's and downs. I know this sounds "corny" or "full of sh.." but I'm more in love with this man now than I was as a stupid wide eyed teenager. Ya I know, sad but true. Ok enough of that! Professionaly what did I grow up to be? I am an interior designer, I specialze in the hospitality industry. (Hotels) Have I done any locally? Yes, I'm proud that there are many hotels in Edmonton and across Canada that have my signature on them. Well I guess that's pretty much the overall short version with the high points so... if you were just curious now you know. I welcome any notes or e-mails from anyone out there, It's nice to laugh (sometimes at yourself) and be reminded of how life was when we were young and to stupid to realise how good we had it.
