hildren--Brett Austin, Jr. and Ava Hope. Our son, Brad, is married to Kimberly. They have 4 adorable children--Isabella Grace , Elijah Arrington , Atticus Knox , and Scarlett Paige. Brad and Kimberly adopted Atticus and Scarlett Paige from Ethiopia when they were 3 1/2 years old. They are biological first cousins. Jim and I feel so blessed to have both our children and their families living here in Kingwood. Professionally, I retired from the Humble Independent School District in 2005 after working for 31 years in education. I was a high school English teacher for the first 9 years of my career, and I was a high school and a middle school counselor for the remaining 22 years of my career. I am loving retirement!!".
