Carol's Story
After retiring from the business world to stay at home and raise my 2 children, (Amanda Ann and Jay David), on our 11 acre mini-farm, I became involved in Girl Scouts and 4H. (Yes, we had every animal imaginable on our mini-farm, EXCEPT pigs!)
We bought a BC (Border Collie) pup to help out around the farm, and I've had this breed ever since.
When the breed was accepted by AKC in 1995, I bought my "foundation girl", Poppy, and began showing in Conformation and Obedience. I was "bitten" by the sport of dog shows, and have "gone to the dogs".

nster this year!
My youngest girl, Bebe, just returned from the IKC shows in Chicago with 2 majors and 2 reserves, so I am quite happy.
Bebe has since finished her CH and I hope to breed her this spring (2012).
Update: I am now living in Laporte, IN after downsizing considerably, but am now close to my son and his family..am living with 4 senior BC's...couldn't breed my Bebe because she had pyo. and had to be spayed,,,so sad...
Jay is now Exec. Chef at Majestic Steak House, and he and his wife, Gabi just blessed me with my first granddaughter, Lillian, on Sept. 17th. Since I'm living close to them, I get to see her often, and am totally enthralled with how bright and alert she is at only 2 mo. of age.
