Carol's Story
I attended Akron U for my freshman, sophmore and junior years, then got married and moved to Connecticut. I didn't finish my bachelor's right away, but became a paralegal and worked for law firms doing divorce and family law, litigation and real estate. I eventually graduated from the Univ of Connecticut. I have one daughter - she is the light of my life. s difficult. So I am now divorced and still living in CT, and my family are all in Ohio. I have continued to sing with choral groups and did some musical theater. I am now singing with the Yale Camerata and the Hartford Chorale. They keep my heart and soul happy. I was finally able to escape the high pressure environment of working in law firms and now work as a real estate paralegal with a title insurance company. In addition to the paralegal work, I teach seminars in real estate closing procedures to attorneys and paralegals. Life is good.
