Carol's Story
High school days are long gone, and I will always cherish most (not all) of my memories with the class of '79. I moved away to Oklahoma in 1981 to start a career with Avis Rent a Car at their worldwide reservation center. I had no intentions of remaining here, but I found my true love, Bob, and we have been happily married for 28 years. He is also from PA, so we come back to visit family & friends once or twice a year. It is very difficult being so far away and out of touch with people I grew up with and wish I could still see. r call myself a computer nerd. I have a great boss who is much younger than me and gives me freedom to do what I want. Can't complain about that! I stay fit by road cycling, hanging out at the gym, and gardening. We are happy to be child-free, as sadly, I don't have a lot of faith in the future of this country or our society. The pressures of parenting in today's world is definitely not for us. Our 2 dogs are long gone, so we now have 2 cats and treat them as our kids. The thing I miss the most is the hometown attitude that I grew up around in Hummelstown. Each time I come back to visit I see changes towards progress. Some seem good and some are heart-breaking. I would love to see anyone that grew up with me and knew me back in the day. My email is happybikers at msn.com, so drop me a note sometime to say howdy. My faith is in God, and someday we shall all meet again!
