Carol's Story
Life
I currently live in the Region of Niagara with my second husband and two labrador retrievers. We are essentially retired, but do some business in the Caribbean in the health sector. For many years I was involved in federal politics working for ministers in the Trudeau government and then returned to southern Ontario to take a position with McMaster University. We have six great children (all grown of course) and eight delightful grandchildren. I am told by people I have been fortunate enough to meet who were a part of my youth that I have not changed much. For those of you who knew me you'll remember I loved clothes (still do) and almost salivated over great shoes. My health is currently good for my age, although I have had two open heart surgeries and have kept my outlook positive and as cheerful as I can. I continue to love to read and watch tv and garden on a grand piece of property which is very rare for having...Expand for more
a home in the city. Sport is a big part of my life, (not playing it anymore - just watching) and I am a fan of the Leafs (yes, yes!!! one of those), the Raptors and the Jays going to a few games each year. I don't return to Guelph much anymore as most of my family have passed on, but I do have some cousins and old friends remaining there. Without question I would love to make contact with a number of people I recognize as former classmates and friends just to catch up and maybe visit electronically once in a while. We love living in Niagara which is where my husband was raised, and partaking of the local wines and great restaurants the area has. Our children live in Ottawa (4 of them) with one in Calgary and one in Mississauga, so we do try to get to visit with those who are farthest away at least once or twice a year and the others much more regularly. Hoping to hear from some of you soon. Regards Carol (Betts) Pugliese
