Carol's Story
Life
Hi! After I high school I went to Kent State University. Moved to New Jersey in 1979 where I began a career in retail as a dept manager. My career developed and grew and I travelled all around the country as a visual merchandiser. Next worked as a children's apparel buyer for a New York City based company - did that for about 13 years. In the interim met my husband - from North Ridgeville, OH! - Got married in 1990. Still have a career in retail - now as a financial planner for a major chain. We have two boys and one cat. We love to ski and go to the beach. (not the cat!) I don't get back to Ohio much - most of my family now lives in Florida. When I think of high school I remember loving all the science classes - especially chemistry with Mrs. Hart and Biology with Mr. Shomo. I also remember mythology in Deaser's (never wore the same outfit twice) class. I still have fond memories of Mrs. Nolan's chior in Jr High, too! Remember Tim Clark dressed up like "Dolly" for the Spring Concert?! I'm not really in touch with anyone from high school anymore but have seen Cindy Babak and her little brother, Vince - the cute guy who passed out roses at graduation - years ago because t...Expand for more
hey lived in NYC and New Jersey for a while. There were a lot of good times and interesting travels, saw a lot of concerts (Blossom Music Center) too. Things are good for me, great kids, happily married, challenging career. I would enjoy coming to a reunion if one ever materialized. If you remember me please email me to say hello!
School
I have many fond memories of school. I loved Mr. Crutchfield's English class in 9th grade. Spent some time there flirting with Ed Hakim. I also enjoyed every science class in high school, Mrs. Hart's chemistry and Mr Shomo's biology. I cannot recall my British Literature teacher's name but heard she went to New England to "return to innocence". My best friend was Sue Gula who I kept in touch with for just a short time after we graduated. Last I heard she got married, moved to Revenna and had a baby boy. Other close friends were Becky Pettis and Harlene Knurr - no idea where either of them are today. I enjoyed many hours of frisbee and various shenanigans on "the hill" during lunch and study hall. At night there was fun in the bleachers at football games and then off to Skyway for a California and the BEST most amazing greasy cheeseburgers.
