I feel like a lucky one as I am still here to enjoy life and I plan on sticking around as long as I can. After graduation, I did pursue my nursing dream and graduated in 1971 from OHSU with a B.S. in nursing. I worked in Portland hospitals until I came back to Logsden to help my Mom when my dad was dying. It was at the store that I met my husband Garry and we had many adventurous years in Alaska where I worked in nursing and he worked on the pipeline. When we left Alaska we bought a truck and I was a truck driver, driving in all the 48 states as a team drive...Expand for more
r with him. In the 80's I had two daughters and we settled in Beverly Beach just north of Newport. In the 90's I bought the store from my mom and I have been running it ever since. I have since divorced but i'm now in a relationship with an intriguing fella and I am kept very busy with the store and caregiving my 93 year old mom. I love hiking and I hope to have the opportunity to travel and explore, maybe combining the two. I made it to Spain, China, Egypt and Jordan and I loved every minute of it. If I had more time and more money, I would still be traveling!
