Carol's Story
It's hard to believe that because of Miss Nancy Owens, I am now a music teacher. Choir just stuck in my heart and I had to keep singing. I've performed since high school and have loved teaching both junior high and high school choral music. I'm, now, the director of Choral Studies at Baptist Bible College and Graduate School in Springfield, Missouri. I was a choral director in the Springfield Public Schools for twenty five years and decided to retire to take the opportunity at college level. of Hazelwood. We have two daughters, two grandsons, one granddaughter and another on the way. Life has been good to us. Now that I'm retired from teaching 24/7 at the high school, I get to spend time with my grandchildren. It's great. They learn all kinds of music from their Grandma and Grandpa; from classical to old rock. How many three year olds know who Mozart and John Denver are? We go to Colorado to get a mountain fix at our cabins every summer. God's been so good to us. Our health is good and we're just getting older by the minute. How much more can you ask for?
