Carol's Story
Now living in Florida with my husband Larry. I worked at AV Hospital for 35 years in the laboratory and retired.
Many might remember me from my junior year at West High (72) and I was a student aid in Mr. Plakes office. (remember him?) I got in a serious accident in '76 and ended up in Lake Hughes Calif, with my parents. school brings back memories I had forgotten. Even though now I have graduated twice from college, I still wonder if something I remember really happened back then or not, but the old songs that we used to hear on the new FM stations are real. My favorite station used to be KMET and Dr. Demento. As a matter of fact, Jim Land from the old KMET is still in radio after all this time. The old saying used to be, "KMET is the place to be, for music on your radio." Wasn't life so simple then?
