Carol's Story
I attended Easton High School for only 2 years - Junior & Senior years (1958-60) - having moved to Easton from Massachusetts. Graduated in 1960 and went on to Gettysburg College. Then taught Maths in Reading High School. Met my future husband, an Englishman, in 1968, married and then moved to England in 1969 where I am still living. I have 2 children and 4 grandchildren. r successful international club projects. Through my husband's work as an international scientist, I was fortunate to accompany him to many parts of the world. Unfortunately, Peter passed away in 2012 after a brave battle with cancer. We were one of the early pioneers locally in building an eco home which has incorporated a ground source heat pump, 6,500 litre rainwater harvesting tank which takes all the roof water and feeds the toilets, washing machine and garden, and also installed Photovoltaic cells which feed electricity into the grid.
