Carol's Story
Life
I'm now retired from the insurance field & working from home in my stained glass studio. Also in the process of purchasing a kiln to do slump work & fused glass. My husband Fred, designed my studio & did a wonderful job. Our children, Jeff & Sharon are grown & on their own. Jeff is married & living in CT, working in the investment field. Sharon is an RN in MD, studying to become a Certified Nurse Practitioner. Fred is retired from being a Naval Engineer Manager & working part-time as a contractor. That leaves us t...Expand for more
ime to travel, our favorite hobby.
I was named "Most Outstanding Citizen" for 2004 in the City of Chesapeake, VA by The Chesapeake Environmental Improvement Council (CEIC). This was for working to establish a park in front of our community. It only took 7.5 years to do it! GROAN. It's now a lovely park with lots of children on every nice day. After that I was appointed by our Mayor to the CEIC.
Nothing is owed on our house & new cars so life is good financially! We haven't won any lotteries, but we're lucky in love!
