Carol Jean's Story
Until my retirement, I was working as a legal secretary for one of Chicago's largest law firms. My husband, Tom, and I were married right after he got out of Navy boot camp in the fall after high school graduation. While he was in the Navy we lived in Memphis and then San Diego. in 2004. Since retirement we bought a place in Leesburg, FL for winters, but our primary home is in Grand Haven, MI. Tom and I celebrated our 50th anniversary in 2008. We have 3 children, 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. We both enjoy boating, golfing and are avid readers. We also enjoy traveling ... in fact, we celebrated our 50th anniversary by taking a river boat cruise through parts of Hungary, Slovakia, Germany and the Netherlands.
