Carol's Story

The most important things in life can't be measured on any internet page of Q & A. I would like to think I can put everything in proper perspective and yet I know that I am not perfect and therefore my proper perspective challenges me every single day! I never thought in my entire life that I would be sitting at a desk and filling in the blanks to my life on a computer. But, way back when we didn't have such technology as we do today. What a concept we have adapted to,in a world where having to think on your own is a sign of the past. When all you have to do is press a button and your answers are right in front of your face. The only answer we can find is the answers to define our lives. My best friend would tell you I'm Good hearted, positive and loyal, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as elusive, vulnerable, trusting. I believe that all people should be given benefit of the doubt. Its a chance you take in a world filled with violance, gangs, and cruel people. I have been told I am sly like fox and I give thanks to all the people in my past as far back as Jr. high who treated me with much disrespect and cruelty. All things good and bad are registered in my brain as a learning experience, not to be repeated twice. We earn respect, not demand it. I continue to reflect a positive image and give no time to those who dwell on the negatives. its sad to think that there are some who still choose to believe they are better than everyone else. When in all reality there is no difference between black and white, money and no money, educated or not, What your career is compared to others, what you own and do not own. It doesn't buy the most important things in life. Respect and dignity. I never have measured my success in what I drive, eat, or live in! I measure it in the good friends that I have, my children and my family. My father thought joining the military after a failed long term relationship was the answer to life. I should have listened to him in that aspect. The best thing I ever did was leave Nebraska. Instead I chose to travel and go to Northwestern University. Aside from his abusive behavior while living in his household in small town Walthill, I did learn, someone who beats up people are nothing more then cowards and in deed have the need to control. Someone who beats thier children should be burned at the stake! I raised my children to be people with values and the right to express thier opinon. I gave them voice from the time they could talk and gave them options instead of commands. My children are very stable, well balanced men. They are excellent fathers, husbands and friend to all....Expand for more
My oldest is a fireman, and enjoys his profession in Business management. My twin son Aaron is a Marine stationed in Jacksonville, North Carolina. Married and both are fulltime Students in College Online and fulltime parents. Both thier wives are stay at home moms. I have 4 grandchildren. 2 here in Wisconsin and 2 in North Carolina, all lil darlins and all lil babies oldest 3yrs. My daughter Kyla, died from an auto accident on Thanksgiving day 2005 and it has been a long road without her, we expect to have our children outlive us, when one dies your world and everything in it changes. She died at the age of 19 on her way back from a photo shoot in Denver, Co. the sad part about it all she had not yet lived to see enough of what is still good in this world. My inspiration in my life was my mother a well versed , intelligent woman. She came to Wisconsin in 1983 and managed to buy herself a large xmas tree farm, became the leading Manager in Avon with sales over a million a year which was a lot back then. continued to hold title for well into 20 yrs. Traveled the world, China, Australia, Ireland, Finland, etc. Met a man and married and they just celebrated thier 20th. Today she is retired, my oldest built a house on the farm and she is starting a new business on the internet. I am primarily self employed selling manufactured homes, land home packages etc. For a sideline I do case setup for contractural agreements for Senior Citizens, such as rent to own , land contracts for farming etc. I have also set up shop on the internet for after market parts for cars and trucks and preformance plus for diesels and gasoline engines. My hobbies are trap shooting, fishing , have a fascination for hand guns, my rifles and shotguns gave to my oldest he hunts on the farm, bow and gun! My life has been adventuresom and spent many years traveling from state to state as well as spent 4 years in Japan, stationed at Misawa AFB. No regrets and glad to be here! I have taken up a new hobbie and find it a lot of fun. Tractor pulling. My first season. I have taken first and second place all summer and plan on revamping my 1955 Farmall 400 into a hot tractor. Friends and family were surprised as I am still a dress and high heels kinda woman. I guess life is what we make it and yes, we can type in all the answers to Q and A but really its not so important about where we've been, that is the past, I live in the future. It's more important about how we got here! I got here by being open minded to new ideas and new concepts and as much as we may not like change, the world is changing everyday! Enjoy life! We only have one chance to make it count!
