From being so shy in school that I couldn't talk to boys (I'd literally almost get sick), I ended up getting married three times. I eventually got enough confidence to belong to multiple groups/clubs and volunteering for multiple jobs and offices in those organizations (PTA, Cub Scouts, Iowa Street Rod Association, Rollin' Oldies of Oskaloosa, Lutheran Church of the Cross). My ex and I ran the annual automotive Ia Street Rod Assn Swap meet at the DM fairgrounds for 12-13 years and I loved doing the newsletter for the two car clubs.
