Life 1963 was a good year! In the history of TAS, I'm sure we had the most fun. A formative time of learning and yearning. But that was way back then. Since then, my calling was George Washington University in DC, followed by a couple years as a Speech Therapist, then motorcycling through Europe settling in Rome. 1st year working in the Theatre doing the Italian version of "Hair", then a year of painting in a little artist village on a mountain top. Finally, settled in London. Began at the Chelsea "Drugstore" (the Stones sang about it...) and ended up on Carnaby Street where I stayed pretty much for 36 years at our Jewellery Shop called 'THE GREAT FROG'. Our list of famous customers reads a bit like the Who's Who of Rock n Roll and Heavy Metal. We've designed jewellery for films (Johnny Depp being my personal favourite), magazines (e.g. Cosmo), Ozzy, Aerosmith, now I'll stop name dripping. Life has been good to me. I have a wonderful son, Reino (28) who is a Designer, of not only jewellery... and a lovely daughter, Mercedes (26) who is a Flight Attendant for Qantas UK (that's the Australian airline but based in London). She flies to Bangkok, Hong Kong and Singapore only ~ all long haul flights AND her mum gets discounted flights! Yay!!!! They are both gorgeous and fantastic and I love them to bits. I sold my house in LONDON last year (2006) and moved to FLORIDA. My mum's 91 now, so I decided after losing my dad 3 years ago, that I wanted to have some special years with her, so we now live together in a SUNNY PARADISE, although I secretly fear hurricanes during the season. So far so good... I fly back to London at least twice a year to see R and M. My sister Diane lives a couple hours north of us and my brother Brian lives in Auckland, New Zealand. Once an itinerant roamer, always a peripatetic nomad. Anyway, someone needs to make sure THE GREAT FROG is still croaking, loudly. I brought my 2 dogs over with me from London.
