Carol's Story
Life
Married to my wonderful husband, Bob, and living in New Mexico since 1990. Soon to retire as caseworker from NM Department of Human Services. Five children, four girls and a boy. Two daughters having served in the Air Force and my son in the Marines. We have twelve (soon to be 13) granchildren!! Enjoy the West, the outdoors, visiting prehistoric Indian sites, no traffic and living in a remote area where your only company is coyotes and eagles. But, we are especially thankful for our wonderful Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Christian fellowship we have in our community. My husband and I plan to be more involved in the Baptist missionary outreach in Mexico after retirement. Hope everyone is fine. Carol

Well, I enjoyed Greenwich HS to some extent, and my most remembered teachers were Ms. Mulqueen and Ms. Calkins. I wonder how they are?

After moving to New Mexico, I began working in the NM Depatment of Labor supervising the Job Training Partnership Act funds disbursed in our southwestern county. This was a rewarding job, for the money produced real results in people's lives as they were retrained in professions to help them become self-sustaining; when the JTPA program sunseted in 1999, I went to work for the Income Support Division of HSD as a caseworker. This has been a challenging job, since the problems encountered here, with our diverse ethinicty, and isolated area, were really unlike anything one encounters back east. But, I have learned much, and really had a wonderful time interacting with clients. I am looking forward to retirement in about three weeks, and will then have to decide if I'll continue in the field on a volunteer basis.
Military
Never served in the military, although my husband was a Lt. in the army and served in Viet Nam.
