Carol's Story
I often sit in an office overlooking the Margalla hills in Islamabad. Unfortunately, I don't get to the mountains because its not quite safe.
I work with Library of Congress in a dream job which includes working with staff of thirty. I travel back and forth to Islamabad where it is a challenge to keep up staff morale to speak nothing of my own.
My daughter is in high school in Delhi where we live. She will graduate this year so we haggle about colleges. Mornings are saved for running or swimming. There is great group of runners in Delhi who have manage...Expand for more
d to discover a number of runs to keep us busy for a couple of hours.
As a midwesterner, I can claim that middle ground. My house is in Madison, Wisconsin where I was lucky to find my life partner along with the Ph.D.
Lived and worked overseas for most of my adult life first in \\Peace Corps Malaysia (four years), study (two years) and now in South Asia (nine years). I try to practice compassion which is not always easy.
