It is kind of cool when you realize that you met your goals that you set for yourself in high school. I always wanted to go into law enforcement ever since I was a little girl. My career choice was to become a Police Officer like my Uncle. He was someone that I looked up to and I wanted others to look up to me. I did it and became a Deputy Sheriff for the Summit County Sheriff's Office shortly after graduation. A little over a year later, I moved to Greeley and began working as a Deputy for the Weld County Sheriff's Office. Then in 1984 while I was attending a Detention Officer academy, I met the most wonderful man I would ever get to know. Six short months later, I became his wife. I moved to Alamosa Colorado which is where he was born and raised. In 1986, I began work for the Alamosa County Sheriff's office as a patrol deputy. Wow, what a trip.
