Carol's Story
Life
After graduation, I enrolled at Central Y Community College on Wacker ave, downtown Chicago. I left Chicago in summer of 1979 to visit my cousin in New York, where I fell in love with the diversity of NY, and decided to stay. Four years later, I got married, had a son, and gained a step son. icago. I was encouraged by professors and friends to continue my education, and finally relented by enrolling in Queens College where I completed my Masters Degree.
I often visit Chicago where I still have siblings and other family members, and am presently considering relocating back to my old neighborhood in Hyde Park, Chicago. I still love that neighborhood, even with all it's changes.
