Carol's Story

I moved back to Texas from Colorado in 2003 and had a home built in Fort Worth. I am working for a software company and love what I'm doing. Before this job, I worked over 30 years for the Federal government and retired from the Department of the Interior. I have one darling daughter and three grandchildren, who are my delight! I love travel (and I get to do some with my job), online gaming, reading science fantasy and being with family and friends. In 2013 I got to go to South Africa for the first time. Took a few days off after teaching a class there and had the best photo safari ever. Got some great pics tool. I also managed to get back to New Zealand in 2013 as well...Expand for more
as Australia, United Kingdom and Germany. People keep asking when I'm going to retire, but why would I want to when I love what I do, work from home when I'm not traveling and yet still get to go to some great places in the world. I've only recently started thinking back to high school and college days and wondering how everyone is doing - would love to hear from any old friends and acquaintances.! I'm hoping there is a 50-year reunion in 2014 - if so, I definitely plan to go unless I'm out of the country. Would love to hear from any friends from Amarillo High or Boys Ranch. Sure had some good times growing up in Amarillo. Had some great times since then too. Life is good!

Had such fun at lunch today with Robin - it's Grand Parent Day at her school. Our selfie!
We have been trying to heal and save a beautiful and wonderful kitty cat for about 2 months. After getting him almost all the way healed, he got a bone infection that ravaged him. We had to have his leg amputated last Wed
Now, if I did New Year's Resolutions (which I don't), these would be the kind of thing I'd like.
We're in Day 4 of the Architect Workshop for my company. It has been such a good trip, both for the participants and for us as facilitators. Sofia, Bulgaria is nothing like I expected, and I'm so glad I got to come here f
It's Bluebonnet time in Texas.

I like that I get to work from home. However, some days are better than others. I woke this morning just in time to get on a conference call, which was followed by another couple of calls. Those behind me, I went to clea
