1968 working for the State of Nebraska Insurance Licensing Dept. From there I started working in retail,and window design, retail advertising in store and display work. When we moved to NC I was back in retail, hustling rags(selling womens ready to wear)in a high end store. I realized that I really didn't like that very much because of the commission and cutthroat tactics of some of my associates so when the opportunity presented itself I switched to the Flower business. I found my calling and my passion. I love flowers and almost instantly I realized I was good at selling flowers and after a couple of years I was good at designing with flowers as well. The creative opportunities and endless combinations possible give great satisfaction when the job is done.".
