Hello to all of my old friends from Sacred heart School. I still have very fond memories of the years I spent there from 1952-1960. I attended Flushing High School after graduation from SHS. I married young, at 19 and proceeded to have 4 children by the time I was 27 years old. I moved to Long Island in the early 80's, worked in a large law firm in N.Y.C from the 70's until around 1982. I left to stay home with my children, who were young teens at the time, and proceeded to have 2 more children, a son in 1984,and a daughter in 1986. I then had 4 kids from 18-10, and 2 more!! I moved to Florida in 1992 after the first 3 of my kids were married and on they're own. My husband worked for the city of N.Y. and commuted for almmost 10 years, so I basically raised the last 2 on my own. My husband died in Jan of 2001. I lost my son, Chris, the youngest of the first 4 in 2003. He was paralyzed in 1996, and died from a medication overdose. My 2 oldest children, Joyce, 42 and Anthony Jr.39 still live on Long Island. My middle daughter, Joanne, 37 lives in Miami with her husband, a Cardiovascular surgeon, and her 3 beautiful children. The youngest 2 David, 24 and Lauren, 22 live here in my vicinity.
