Carol's Story
Life
I graduated high school on a Tuesday June 16,1964....got married on the 20th and pregnant on monday. That was the busiest week of my life.............at least at that point. But that was 41 years ago and my baby girl is now 40 and her brother is 38. She produced me two grandsons now 20 and 16 and my son gave me the last grandson who is now 13. After 32 years of marriage I finally got the courage to get a divorce and it has be close to nine years now. After the divorce I gave myself some time to get to know myself again and learn how to take care of "ME". Did some dating here and there but no "love connection" so far. It is hard to find a good man out there...........especially since I don't go out a lot. I have kept myself somewhat busy with work and a parttime job at a bowling alley. I like to bowl as do all my grandsons. They are pretty darn good too. The oldest has already had two perfect 300 games. I enjoy board games or dart or pool..........I need to keep busy or I fall asleep. I am still looking for the special someone ..... I like the idea of having someone to do things with and for. I alway call myself a better hostess than a guest. Guess I will end thi...Expand for more

Workplace
I seam to stick with things for a long time. Like my marriage I have spent a long time at my job. In 1973 we bought a house and right after we moved in I started a new job at Kmart. I had been working for Woolworths for a couple of years and when Kmart came to town I applied for fulltime work in the office. I got that job and have been there ever since. Of course way back then there were probably six people in the office and now there is actually just me..........except for two people who do cash when I am off. And even at that I can't be kept busy for 40 hours so I go out on the floor and stock. I also have been working at the bowling alley where I bowl for over 6 years now. It is a perfect parttime job because I have to set schedule. I do all the league record stuff and as long as I have it done before the league bowls again it is good. And in the summer time I don't work as much. Even in the winter I only work about 6 hours a week except in the beginning and end of the season. It was a way to get out of the house and the extra check didn't hurt either.
