Life I live in Walnut Creek, CA in a simple one story three bedroom one bathroom house and my email is Mewkew3 at aol.com I got my BA in Human Development with a slant in Early Childhood from Cal State Hayward in early 1983, and a secretarial AA from Heald Business College prior to that. I have done a variety of jobs--secretarial, mortgage reporting, teaching pre-school, house-cleaning--and looking after my elderly mother who had three strokes in three days in April 2002. I left the Christian church 8 months after my mother had her strokes; the church I attended flatly refused to pray for her recovery or for me to have strength in dealing with it, and in January 2003 I began to look into alternative forms of healing that could be utlized along with conventional medicine in order to give her recovery the best chance I could. In some ways it was merciful that Dad passed in 1989--he did not have to go through the agony of watching Mom have her strokes and dealing with the hospitalization and afermath of her recovery as I did. Even so, at times I miss him and his quiet input about life. A neighbor I had as a small child (Francis Tucker Jones) taught me to love crystals, so when I looked into alternative methods of healing, Crystal Healing jumped out at me as a starting point. This spurred me into learning Gold Reiki, Kundalini Reiki, Celtic Reiki, Ama Deus Shamanic Healing, Usui Reiki, Violet Flame Reiki, and helping to birth Kyela Reiki into being. I discovered that it is easy for me to do psychic readings off most oracle cards, and through an experience I had with the animals that come to my yard I have created my own oracle deck as well. I enjoy the birds, the squirrels, and even the little creatures like the salamanders and ladybugs. I have loved having a connection with nature as a child, and as an adult through my Shamanic studies I have reawakened that love and relationship with the rocks and animals.
