How can this be Memorial Day weekend 2010? Because that means I'll be turning 55 in August - and that's just impossible!
I'm unemployed for the first time in my life - and scared as all get out! There was a facility-wide lay-off at my last job right on St Patrick's Day - yeah, nice timing, right? 50 of us were let go that day. That's 50 more people at the unemployment office.

rry to be such a downer, but I've never been in this position. I've been a single mom to 2 daughters since 1986. I'd always lived paycheck-to-paycheck, but I own my own home and my bills were always paid on time. This is a whole new mindset and lifestyle for me. If I don't find a job soon, I'm not sure what's going to happen.
Anyone out there willing to make me a 'kept woman'? ;-p
