Carol was born in Pittsfield, Illinois, and, with the exception of 8 years in Texas, has lived most of her life in northwest Missouri. She is married with 2 daughters, two sons-in-law, 3 grandsons, and one granddaughter. Her schools include North Kansas City High School. She later attended Northwest Missouri State University.
