Carol's Story
Hi everyone . My name is Carol (Thacker) Baker. It has been "many moons" since we graduated from Brighton High in 1965. Being a late comer to this high school, I developed a few close friends...Jackie Hunter, Jim Garner, Shirley Miller, Nancy Silver... to name a few. After high school, I attended one year at the University of Colorado, worked as a stewardess for Braniff Airlines, attended Western State College, Gunnison, Colorado, worked as a free lance artist and finally graduated from University of San Diego in the teaching program. and attained my Masters in Brain-Centered Learning.
I met my "soul mate" in 1969...Ron Baker. He was a man's man with a very caring side. He passed away on August 14, 2011. He an I spent time in Germany, Italy, Austria and Switzerland during our early years of marriage. He had his own vineyard (notice in the picture he is holding his prize-winning Merlot 2008).
We have two sons and four grandchildren. One of our sons was a extra in five movies and the oldest takes after his father, a avid outdoorsman.
