After high school, I went off to college and never could quite decide what I wanted to major in. I started off at Cornell College majoring in Sociology. I made a lot of really good friends in Iowa and found that taking courses one at a time was pretty cool and good for someone with a short attention span like me! Unfortunately, I did not like my career choices in the field, so I decided to transfer to the University of Wisconsin - Madison and major in Nursing. In Madison, I got the chance to work as an equipment manager for the Badger football team, pledge a soroity and drink lots of beer. Unfortunately, I really did not like nursing, or the cold weather in Madison! I had decided to take a year off from school to figure out what I wanted to do with my life and move back to KC (I had already completed 4 years of full time course work to this point.) That summer, I met my future husband. He was in the Air Force and ended up getting orders to Korea.
