2 year fellowship in Rheumatology at Scripps Clinic in La Jolla. Since 1983 she has cared for patients with musculoskeletal and autoimmune diseases at her Arthritis Medical Clinic of North County, Inc. In 2005 she was President of the San Diego County Medical Society and since that time in addition to her busy practice she volunteers to see the medically indigent through Project Access San Diego and the UCSD Medical Student Run Free Clinic. Along the way, she spanked her 2 children with a stethoscope and it worked...they did NOT follow their crazy mother into medicine. Son Chris, 32, is a software systems specialist at Amazon in San Luis Obispo and daughter Deb, 29, is an architect in Chicago--both launching nicely and making their mother proud.
