Carol's Story
Life
I married in 1962, moved to San Francisco bay area in '68 & divorced 5 years later. I remarried in '79 and we have one son who became engaged to be married on the day he and his wife graduated from college. I worked in Marine Purchasing for Sea-Land (container shipping corp.) for 24 years but was down-sized after that magical age of 50. Since then, I worked 10 yrs. in the accounting department of a company in San Ramon, CA. I'm currently retired (& loving it); was working 1 day each week until Feb. 2007 - now fully retired. fter 28 years) from Oakland, CA Police Dept. and was police chief of a small department in the east bay, Clayton, CA. for the next 7 years. He retired from Clayton in Sept. 2005 and we're looking forward to both being retired and doing some traveling.
Latest update is that we finally have a new grandson, Aveah, born 5/19/2011. I know I may be biased but he really is adorable. We're loving being grandparents and having our son and his family live so close by. We started our family later than most and I'm very thankful to be able to finally enjoy a grandchild.
