Carol's Story
Life
After college, I taught third grade at Arkwright Elementary. I married Phillip Freeman, Class of '59. We had two children, a boy and a girl. In 1969 we moved to Tucker, and have remained there since. Phillip passed away twelve years ago, and I am still in the same house. My son is retired from the Air Force, was stationed in Las Vegas when he retired last summer and took a job in Dunai. He is married to a lovely lady and has a 13 year old daughter and a seven year old son. My daughter teaches school and she and her family live in Buford. She has three boys - 11, 7, and 4.
We enjoy going to Athens during the fall to watch the Bulldogs play, and I have stayed active with my Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority alum group here in Atlanta.
I work for LifeLink of Georgia, which is the Organ and Tissue procurement agency for the State of Georgia. Our office has moved from No...Expand for more
rthside Parkway to Norcross. That is so much nicer for me!
Our fiftieth class reunion was so much fun. Seeing friends from back in the day was awesome. I have renewed some very special relationships and look forward to keeping in touch with everyone.
Our last event was a Birthday Bash celebrating the year we all turned 70. Next year we will celebrate a 55 year reunion.
College
I went to the University of Georgia, pledged Zeta Tau Alpha and spent four of the best years of my life. Go Dawgs!!!
A lot happened during my four years at UGA. I guess desegregation was the most memorable. I know we were not allowed out at night during that whole time. If you were caught, Dean Tate would take your ID card. Heaven forbid!
We did love to dance and party. I don't think that has changed a bit on the Athens campus. I would enjoy hearing from everybody. Email me.
