Carol's Story
I currently live in Green Cove Springs, Florida. I joined the Air Force about a year after high school, got out and then rejoined in 1989. In 1995, I started my career as a clinical nurse officer in the Air National Guard and eventually retired as a Major in 2005. I enjoyed the military but after 23 years total time, it was time to leave it to the younger airmen. My high point in the military was being deployed to Europe to help in the nursing care of those wounded in the war. ...Expand for more
Right now I am not working for pay as a nurse but volunteer my nursing skills to rescue missions in Jacksonville. Love it!!!
I was widowed in 2008. I had married a Maine boy that I met while stationed in San Antonio, Texas. We have two sons, Tony, our oldest still lives in Maine and our youngest, Matthew is in the Army fighting for his country. All in all, God has been very sweet to me. I am very blessed even in my widowhood. God bless you all, In Christ,
