Carol's Story
I have been in California since the middle of my junior year. I have been married twice. The 1st time around for (20) years and I have one daughter from that marriage and now have (3) grandchildren. I have been with my second husband for 20+ years and for me the "2nd time around" has truly been the best. My husband and I enjoy everything about our life together.
My daughter and her family live in Arizona and we visit as often as we can. The grandkids are all taller than me and for some reason that's been important to them. Go figure (I'm only 5'1" so it wasn't that big a deal to grow taller than me). They are...Expand for more
all healthy and smart and we think they will be outstanding adults.
My husband and I are both retired. We love the freedom we have now and are enjoying every moment. We don't miss the daily grind or commute or stress of when we were working one bit. Everyone should be retired. :0)
I have been back to Minnesota a couple of times over the years and marvel at how little my friends have changed, at least in my eyes. I have kept in contact with a couple of the them even after all these years. I cherish these lifelong friendships and look forward to connecting with other classmates. Perhaps the 50th class reunion!
