Carol's Story

Life Graduated in 1967 from University of Maryland College Park with BA in political science/economics. Pursued a career in commercial banking with FNB of Md for 30 years. Final position that of strategic planner and assistant chief of staff to President & CEO of Corporation. Retired; spent 10 years as a very active community and civic activist in Baltimore County as a board member of Long Green Valley Assn & Greater Kingsville Community Assn in NE Baltimore County area where I live (in Fork) with my dog in a house that my husband & I built in 1988. Lost my husband Bernie on 6/22/10. Continue to lead the organization of our Parkville High School Class of 1963 reunions every 5 years along with Sharon Landis Carletti, Joan Muth Levin, Ken Tilton,John Boring, Pat Burkhead Green, Dona Neilson, Barry Kuhne, Bob Godwin & Dot Kinling Goodman. in 1999, Jean Muth Newman, Joan Muth Levin, Sharon Landis Carletti, Linda Makosky Dickson, Joann Neuman Wehnert and I started going on "Spring Fling" weekends to keep our friendship alive and well even after all these years. Also enjoy working with PC's, reading, gardening, cooking & socializing with friends. Around 2002, started taking courses in genealogy and have now seriously tackled tracing both sides of my family back as far as possible. Volunteered at the Md State Archives in Annapolis for around 1 year. Will begin planning process for 50 year reunion fall 2011. Again planning a whole weekend of activities including a tour of the school which is currently undergoing a major renovation, a Fri night get-together at a Parkville bar, the main event Sat night reunion, a weekend flat Freddy photo contest, a Sun omelet brunch at my house & a Sun night get together at someone's house to announce the winner of the Flat Freddie contest.
