Carol's Story
I honestly don't know how people would remember me. I wasn't much of anything back then. A rough home life lead to miserable self-esteem which made for a horrible time in school. Most of the time I wanted to hide under a rock. It's tough when, on the first day of first grade, you're laughed at for having a patch on your ey...Expand for more
e, and continue being laughed at for the next 8 years. The nasty remarks written in my 8th grade year book hurt like no one will ever know. It took a long time to get past all that and realize that I really am worth the oxygen I breathe. I'd just like everyone to know that I'm happy, both inside and out, despite all of it.
