Carol's Story
Life
After High School, I married Jerry Wise from Snohomish. We had one child, Mary Ann. In 1964 we moved to San Francisco, California, where Jerry accepted a job with United Air lines. We lived there until 1972, when we moved to Livermore, California, which is 50 miles east of the Bay Area. We remained in Livermore until my retirement from the University of California in 1993. Jerry retired from United Airlines in 1995, and we moved to Sparks, Nv.
Our daughter Mary Ann was married and living in Ripon, California. The reason why we moved to Sparks...Expand for more
? We wanted out of California! However, not far from our daughter and son-in-law.
We also enjoy snow skiing, boating and fishing, which Nevada offers. Besides the boat, we have two Classic Cars. One of the biggest Classic Car events, "Hot August Nights" is here in Reno/Sparks during the first week of August. So much fun! Brings back some wonderful memories!! What a great time to have been a teenager!
6/14/09: Since the posting above we lost our daughter Mary Ann in Jan. 2008
I lost my beloved husband of 55 years on January 22, 2017.
