Bio
Was married in 55 to my high school sweetheart from Gardner; had 6 children; traveled around the world with my Air Force hubby; lived all over the U.S., as well as in Libya, Spain and the Philippines; retired from military life in 74 and moved to Avon Park FL where I still live; had 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; lost a daughter in 91, my hubby in 92; was remarried on Valentine's Day, 96; lost a granddaughter in 99. Feel free to look us up if you're ever down this way, about 60 miles or so south of Disney. Over the years I've seen a few others from Winchendon down here in this area. Update; stopped in Winchendon in July 2000, visited over dinner with Sib, Barry, Doris and their spouses, saw the new school and hope to be back in 04. Pat Morin stopped by to visit in Aug. 2000 and now lives close by; in Orlando. In 03, I found out Jane Bailey and her hubby moved only 50 miles north of us, so we have visited back and forth. Still hoping to go to the reunion in 04; 50 yrs; unbelievable. Update; made it back for our 50th and had a grand time. Recognized almost everyone there and looking forward to seeing everyone again in 09. Had 3 hurricanes hit us in Aug and Sept of 04; really scarey, but we survived with not much damage. Lost a grandson in May 05; Armand Dube stopped by for a short visit in Dec 05; good to see him again. Update for 07; lost a son in Jan; Armand visited in June; in Oct we went on a nice ride on our new motorcycle... went up to OH and NY and ...Expand for more
visited with family, then back again to FL... it was a wonderful ride. Nothing like seeing the countryside from the back seat of a bike... it's actually a trike; still hoping to get back home for 09, and who knows, we might show up on the trike. 2008... Went to OH on the trike in Sept for my granddaughter's wedding and then had the trike redone by Honda in Oct... it's gorgeous. Hoping to go to MA and NH in the summer. Updates: 2009, no trips; 2010, no trips - Dec 2010 and Jan 2011 we moved to Sebring FL, about 15 mi south of where we were. Went to WA in Aug 2011; saw Betty & Tom Maliska; spent a couple wks with my nephew and family just south of Mt Rainier; saw another classmate, Jackie and her hubby in Vancouver WA; then went to Houston and spent a few days with my daughter; then headed back to FL again. That took care of the whole month of Aug. In Jan 2012 I lost another child; this time it was my oldest... she died on the same day my son died 5 yrs earlier. Now my 3 oldest ones are gone and only my 3 youngest ones are still living. When I went to OH for the funeral, there was a snow storm while I was there, so I got to see snow again for the first time in many yrs. In April 2012 we got a new sheltie puppy. She's adorable, of course, and her name is "Precious". We're going to my daughter's in Houston for Thanksgiving, where several family members will congregate... children, grandchildren great grandchildren, neices, nephews, etc... it should be loads of fun.
