Carol's Story
Life
Was working for a doctor as a senior in high school and following graduation, continued along those lines. Got married the following year, had two wonderful kids, eventually divorced, then moved to San Diego. Married a great guy and went with him to Virginia, where I stayed for 22 years. Still get back to CA often. Worked in the medical field for 20 years, returned to school a dozen times: Art History, Int Design, Women's Studies. how to live with passion and purpose. Was "single" for 10 years following the death of my (then) husband (when we were both 43) and subsequently came to Chicago, where I've been enjoying a sweet life with another wonderful man since 2000. Between us, we have a grand bunch of kids and a boatload of absolutely brilliant grandchildren! I don't do much singing any more, but currently use my vocal chords in Cook County courts as a CASA for abused and neglected kids, hoping to affect some positive change in foster care. All in all, life is grand and I've been blessed beyond my wildest dreams!
