Carol's Story
Life
So I was asked where did I graduate from? Brenham High school I said...Dang in 1980!!! so much for feeling young after that conversation. Anyhow I was coming too the 25th class reunion, and just my luck, there wasn't one, so I have yet to come too one. I left Brenham in 1988 and moved back in 2001, have 3 kids from previous disaster. A daughter 22 , a son 21 and my partner in crime son who's 15. I married my true soul mate on Sept 17th 2005, I now reside near Ft Hood Texas. I'm a stay at home/go too Gymx housewife/mom. I refuse too grow up and I love being back in Texas. I still smoke, I just don't have too hide in the parking lot anymore. Mr Ken and Miss Lois were my parents...Golden Fried Chicken was their store. I loved it when my Dad delivered snack packs too D-Hall. My Fave Teacher was Coach Dalchal/Recordkeeping. Was it our class that had too pay for the antique outhouse LMAO too funny. May fest (I was in it)but it was still the corniest thing I ever heard of. I miss Silver Wings, and Cowboy country. I lost something at the Washington county Fair!!! and I hate that they dissed the Frito pies at Sonic. I know I left there knowing some of you and even though so many years have gone I will look forward too meeting any one of you all over again. GO CUBS??? POSTNOTE: Ok Ya'll I just found my yearbook OMG and I'm either brave or just plain stupid but I put my then pic on here OUCH!!!
School
You know, my high school days are quite shameful I think, but not so shameful that I can't look back and laugh at them. Gosh I guess the 80's term for me was a "head" I smoked both kinds of cigs bac...Expand for more
k then, I drank, I skipped classes using Obituary listings as a way of leaving school on occasion ( hey it worked) I debated History in schools (I still do) I was a teacher's Aid for Art class LOL. Miss Vanzant was the greatest. It gave me a double lunch period. Ms Kimsteadt Drama class was pretty kewl. I loved Coach Dalchau's Recordkeeping class, Coach Doug Smith's Math class,(he was nice eye candy) flunked typing (still regret that) Loved going too Lake Somerville on an unauthorized extended lunch period. Could not stomach old lady Z . or Ms Adamcik. Mr Whitesell was pretty kewl as far as principals go and Benny seeker, Oh my goodness, now he was a stud!!! LOL . Can't forget Mr Pettie , he was a teddybear trying too be a grizzly. Barney T impressed me for some unknown reason back in the day, maybe cause he had that Leif Garrett look? I don't know! I envied the cheerleaders while feeling sorry for them too. I would have loved too have been a cheerleader but without the reputation that came along with the title. I loved the Sonic frito pies ,hated the cafeteria food. Least fave class/teachers were Biology/Mrs Kirkpatrick, World History (liked Coach Fleming hated the class)
and Government/Coach Daviss. I have too give Mr Effenberger credit for scaring me into passing English III. What a guy!!! Ok I think that just about covers my days at Brenham High. And too think..thru all that I still managed too graduate. Worst things have happened. hahaha
Workplace
Tried it...Didn't like it..Don't do it!!! Now I just stay home, go too the Gym, enjoy my husband and my kids and live life too the fullest.
