married to my wonderful, brilliant, sweet, kind, loving, passionate, witty, funny, handsome, generous... Oh, SYNONYMS everywhere!!!! You get the idea. :)
And... my son, Jon continues to make me proud. He's a good, kind, and genuine soul.
My grandchild, who I raised as my own (Krissy) will be 25 on February 25th 2014, and in late April or early May, Krissy will be blessed with a baby girl - just as the world was blessed with her presence a quarter of a century ago. I am stoked!!!!! This is just so so so exciting!!!!!!
More stuff...
I ab-so-lutely love to cook, and I find real joy in it. Andrew is my biggest "food fan" and it's a treat to see him enjoy it so.
Speaking of Andrew... we both love to travel and we do a lot of it and, well, we just enjoy each other's company no matter where we are. I will always remember our first trip to Europe together, traveling to Paris, returning to my old friends in Karlsruhe, Germany and living back there at the same old house (with snazzy new revisions)... what a blast we had! Also our trip to Niagra Falls... it was lovely there. (Check out some of those photos on The West Family Album)
In August and September of 2011... we were back in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, AND.. in London for a few days AND in Liverpool for ten days for The International Beatles Festival! I even got to be a guest speaker!!! WOO-HOOO!!! It was an amazing time and we've been invited back!!! Our next trip was a month long 9 country tour in April of 2013. It was a mix of working and pleasure and most cherished old friends! We also visited Holland for a vacation/working trip! It was beautiful there. ... And back again we go later this year! I also spent 4 weeks in California (split up into two trips) ... and it was wonderful!!!!! My friend Shelly teaches there and I stayed at her house and got to teach her children at school and read them Mookie and Henley stories! We ALL had a FABulous time!!!!
Truthfully, the friends we have there are our 'family'... Oh, the fun we had... the memories.... it was more joy than we ever imagined! :)
We are also the proud parents of five cats: Holly, Cynthia, Mookie, Ned, and Lucky. (rescued animals one and all and the best "companimals" on the planet.)
And...part of the royalties from each of my books benefits a charitable organization.
Life is good. ... and I'm very grateful for all of it. ... Very, very grateful.".
