CAROLE's Story
Life
Fellow Sentinels...Pat and I were happily married for 57 years and our merciful God took him in his sleep last year with a stroke. 2020
We have two offspring, Eric, 52 gave us three wonderful grandsons. One grandson son gave me my first great grand child!! Pat missed seeing him by three weeks...so sad. Our beautiul daughter, Diane, is married and gave us our fourth grandson.!! We no longer live in Seattle. Left the fast paced city for Idaho. WE built a beautiful retirement home just north of Coeur d'Alene. We moved over July 2004. The first winter was kind to us. We built with the intention of staying here...after 26 years at the WA address, I guess that is safe to say that. Diane still lives in Seattle area so we make several trips. The summer will be longer here and that is what we looked forward to.... miss California's weather every day!!!! Thanks to Pat's thrifty ways, we retired ...Expand for more
Dec.2000 and love every minute so far. We have traveled a bit, but more to come. Pat received a kidney transplant in 2003 opening up a new life for us. God has blessed us over and over again. Addendum: We did manage to travel more....toured and I mean toured most of the states. WE loved taking road trips...we traveled well together! Covid has me in our downsized new home....lonely. You know that I love people and this being separated is horrible. Thank goodness it is getting a bit better.
Idaho seems to be doing pretty well with the restrictions and have received good results. Just pray the entire country soon meets and beats this Covid menace!
I pass the time scrapbooking or working jigsaw puzzles. Our church group has been on hold, but about ready to reconvene....I am so excited.
Thanks, school chum for taking time to read a bit.
