Carole's Story
Life
I moved from Salinas about 30 years ago due to a change in my husbands job. I worked at El Gabilan School just before coming here. My husband was a political director and lobbyist for the Carpenters Union in Washington, D. C. I had a lot of fun while he was working going to fund raisers and meeting a lot of Congressmen and Senators (sometimes in their homes). fore that. We do antique shows on weekends (about 7 a year right now), and we are no longer in an antique mall. Keeps us very business. Two of our four children live in California still and one lives here in Virginia. The other lives in Florida. Two are married, two are not. We celebrated our 64th wedding anniversary in July. Had a wonderful time with all the family together and enjoyed dinner with family and friends on our 50th anniversary. We have become grandparents of a little girl on December 2, 2005 from our daughter in Orlando Florida.
