Carole's Story
Carole is a journalist turned filmmaker. She began her career at the Houston Chronicle as a feature and editorial writer. Her Ivy London Productions, which can be found online, has two TV series and a feature film in development. She wrote/produced a feature documentary, “Pussy Riot – The Movement,” filmed in Russia, which was released on a wide variety of VOD and cable TV platforms after a five-city theatrical and five college tour. It can now be found on Vimeo and soon other platforms. She also produced various shorts. llor of Communications, which included oversight of the TV station and writing/producing documentaries and commercials. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a master’s in education.
She was married to Bob Keeney for 36. A lawyer, he died at the age of 65 from lung cancer. Carole remarried to Rick Harrington, filmmaker/professor with whom she founded the Film Program at the community college where he taught for 20 years. They have been married for 18 years and are partners in Ivy London Productions, Her son, Christopher, is 55, has autism and lives with Carole and Rick. Carole and Bob co-founded a service for people with autism called Avondale House, which can be found online.
