Caroline's Story
Sports Jock, Geek or Scrambled Egg.
Before 1986, only my teachers knew me by Caroline, the rest remember me as "Chuck" or "Charlie". I always tell people I went to college to play volleyball, but seriously volleyball got me thru the years and attached me to great friends everywhere. High School, United States Naval Academy, free ticket to the beach parties, and great 2-man competitions on the grass or sand.
Serving my country, I earned my Airborne Wings, became a Navy Salvage Diver, learned to use coolaide or coke to clean engineering space bilges, and conned a ship thru canals and across oceans.
After the military, I moved back to the Annapolis, MD area. I love the Chesapeake Bay and the local seafood.
As a civilian GIS Manager in local government, I continue to be challenged to do ...Expand for more
more with less ($$), be flexible, and adapt. Success is measured on making others happy, by finding ways to provide visual representations and spatial relationships of diverse multi-departmental information in a user-friendly ("push-of-a-button") environment to those who need it to do their jobs. (As a side note: appologies to all my English teachers...nothing has changed...I still use run-on sentences!)
Over the years, Volleyball and Snow Skiing were my activities of choice. Unfortunately, during the last 10 years my knees have lost their shock absorbers and I have grown older, slower and heavier than I want to be. So now my passion has moved to golf. I continue to practice in preparation for retirement and the establishment of the Women's Senior Pro Champion Tour. So stay tuned...
