Caroline's Story
Time goes by like wild horses over the hill! One word describes my last the last 44 years - TRAVEL. Roots in water would be my home life. My career in health care management provided me the opportunity to travel working long term assignments in Alaska, East Coast - West Coast and many places between. One year in St. Thomas, VI and last year in Hawaii.
Single most of those years - two marriages, my first ended after seven years and gave my daughter, Carrie and a life time friendship with my EX. My 2nd marriage was 23 years later. I met my Frank in Alaska. He a fishing guide (retired Seattle Fireman) and me a consultant in health care.
I had been living in Alaska (10 years, when we married I moved to WA state where Frank's family lives. He has 3 daughters and 5 grand children which immediately expanded my family.
After Frank and I married I worked consultant contracts all across the US taking him and my...Expand for more
family (dog and cat) with us. We home base on Camano Island, WA. Of the 11 years we have been together we were home perhaps 1 1/2 years when you count all of the days.
Every where we lived for our work contracts provided lovely living accommodations where we were able to live in the communities living the dream while we worked. (Frank retired - often helped me work projects at the hospitals.)
I think we are done working but I won't commit to that just yet. I am writing and hope to publish soon. I love being home after all of these years of travel.
We will continue to do road trips (in our 5th wheel) especially in the winter. This last winter we spent in AZ which was so nice we will repeat that adventure next year.
That's it! Life is great and has treated me well. High school is simply a stepping stone for the education that I achieved and continue to obtain. Learning is an everyday part of life.
