Carolyn's Story

After graduation I married a Yankee from Rensselear, IN... should not have tranplanted him back home with me to Louisiana, but I did. After a horrible marriage and 17 long years of suffering... boo hoo, boo hoo, sniff.. we divorced. I was so lucky to get to raise 3 daughters without support, while earning an undergraduate degree in psychology, followed by 3 years of graduate school. and a specialist level masters degree. I worked as a school psychologist. Soon after moving into a new job, I was disabled by the 1st of 4 auto accidents (I was stopped and hit in each accident) I moved back home to Lake Charles, La. I don't like my children at the moment so I try to recall when they were cute and I could boss them around. I have stayed in touch with Shirley Dunn and Don Campbell. Shirley's parents and my parents were childhood friends in La. We knew each other when I moved to Crown Point. I have lost track of everyone. I only went to that school for one year and I doubt any one remembers me. This was a free trial so I jumped in to say hi y'all, hope life has treated you well. I know this is not what I had planned, and this is not what I wanted to be when I grew up... single, recovering from my last wreck, living with my blind mother and disabled. My dad passed in March resulting from hospital negligence.. since he was such a stong, healthy, loving man and the rock of my family, we still can't believe he actually died. But, He really did, and we lost 3 more family members since March. For now, my situation ...Expand for more
is actually pathetic. I will let y'all know if I get depressed, for now... I'm laughing and saying "what the hell"? God must be using me as entertainment or as a threat to get people back on the right path. All that is left is to wait it out and die. I will be glad to leave a house full of stuff for my kids to clean up! I think that is appropriate pay back.. trust me, I will be watching and enjoying every minute. Until then, I remain in waiting for my time to go.. if you remember me, I will go ahead and say bye... once I am dead it will be too late! I guess that's all for now folks, I am typing on a lap top while flat on my back in bed... not easy. Catch y'all on the next go round! Carolyn You might remember Norman or Bryan Hicks. Bryan was drafted into the pro's on the 3rd round of picks and played for the Bengals. He played in the Super Bowl and has one of those super bowl rings and a football card. Oh, they lost to who ever it was?? the Rams> I can't remember. The only sure memory I have is Bryan tackled Earl Campbell and got 3 cracked ribs for his trouble.. that happened in Houston's Astrodome. I didn't like watching him play... I was always so afraid he would get hurt. One shattered arm kept him off the field for 6 months. Norman played for CPH and was football king, he is a R.N., Bryan is a P.T. I am a broken down psychologist. Between the 3 of us, One can provide CPR and urgent care, one can provide rehab, and one can help you feel good about the whole thing. God Bless u, this was sort of fun!
